SIMULIA

Realistic simulation solutions
MEMKO > Software > SIMULIA

SIMULIA applications accelerate the process of evaluating the performance, reliability and safety of materials and products before committing to physical prototypes.

SIMULIA products and applications support simulation-based end-to-end Industry Processes including Powertrain Structural Performance in the Transportation & Mobility industry, Aircraft Aerodynamic Performance in the Aerospace & Defense industry, and Integrated Antenna Engineering & Certification in the High Tech industry, to name a few.

Leveraging simulation early in the design phase can help to reduce development time, reduce the cost of physical testing and reduce the risk of not meeting requirements.

SIMULIA offers strong capability and solutions for evolving trends in simulation including: Digital Additive Manufacturing, Electric Vehicles & Electric Drives, 5G Communications, Urban Air Mobility, and WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure)

Key Benefits

Reduce Costs

Reduce the reliance on costly prototype by instead using simulation to understand the performance of your design

Improve Quality

Through interative simulation-based design, ensure design specifications are met by simulating your product with an accurate prediction of its real-world behaviour

Breakdown Silos

Improve collaboration in Engineering and Simulation departments with tight CAD and CAE integration, with unified MODSIM capabilities on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform

Tightly Integrated CAD

Quicky and easily simulate your CAD models created in CATIA or SolidWorks

SIMULIA Disciplines

Structures

Structures simulation includes Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Abaqus for solids and structures to model linear and nonlinear static, thermal, dynamic, and impact effects.  Realistic simulation includes complete material behaviour (for metals, elastomers, composites, and many other materials), contact and impact, and large motion.  Fracture/failure analysis can be included.

Electromagnetics

Electromagnetics simulation discipline includes technology for simulation of electromagnetic waves propagation and signal strength related to design and positioning of devices for communication and detection.

Learn More

Fluids

The Fluid discipline covers steady-state and transient internal and external flow around and through solids and structures using Computational Fluid Dynamics technology.

Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield, the oldest global motorcycle brand in continuous production, needed to find better ways to continue producing the bike models that have long made them famous, while also incorporating the technology and performance that modern customers demand.

By leveraging the SIMULIA portfolio throughout the design process of the engine and chassis, Royal Enfield engineers are able to rapidly improve performance and safety while reducing weight.

Royal Enfield customers enjoy motorcycles that have the classic look of yesterday, and the comfort and safety innovations of today.

The best part about SIMULIA products is the correlation we are getting with test results. We can do an initial DOE study, an optimization, approximation if needed, a six sigma analysis, all those things for reliability

Nabeel T K
CAE Engineer, Royal Enfield

The real key value of the simulation is that we have much more confidence in our design… Simulation is insurance that we know we’re going to get the right product

SIMULIA FAQs

What is SIMULIA?

SIMULIA is a Brand that encompasses all of Dassault Systemes’ simulation solutions including Abaqus, CST, Isight, XFlow, PowerFLOW etc. The SIMULIA Brand is a multi-disciplinary portfolio with solutions for multiple physics disciplines (such as structures & solids, electromagnetics, fluids, thermals, and controls), across many domains.

How do I select the right product within the SIMULIA Brand for my problem?

Take a look at the SIMULIA pages of our website for high level positioning of the different solutions and for any questions please contact us through our Contact page. MEMKO has trained and certified engineers in SIMULIA brands and can help customers identify and deliver value from SIMULIA’s extensive range of simulation solutions.

What is the ideal hardware configuration for my SIMULIA solution?

The hardware will depend on project requirements and the individual solutions required. Dassault Systemes publishes a certified hardware and software list, which can be used to assist with hardware choices.

Can you help me install and use the software?

Yes, MEMKO is structured to provide the full range of implementation and support activities for clients and has more than 25 staff Dassault Systemes certified and experienced engineers and technical staff.

Who can support my installation if I experience technical issues?

MEMKO has a professional Help Desk and will be your first point of contact for any technical issues with the solution or installation. If the issue cannot be resolved locally MEMKO will escalate the support request to Dassault Systemes.

Do you have the right expertise to help me maximise the benefits from my implementation?

Yes, MEMKO has domain knowledge in Aerospace, Defence, Marine and Manufacturing as well as certified technical staff. MEMKO also uses the software for it’s own product development projects and is in the unique position of understanding how to best apply the software solutions based on real life experiences.
