Spotlight on Innovation: NIFTI

As part of our inclusion in the catalogue, we highlighted our innovative Non-Intrusive Flight Test Instrumentation (NIFTI) product in the catalogue. NIFTI was developed to address a significant challenge in the aviation sector: the need for rapid, affordable, and flexible flight trials without the extensive downtime and costs associated with traditional flight test instrumentation.

Traditional flight test methods often require intrusive modifications to aircraft, leading to extended periods of maintenance and reduced operational availability. This can be particularly problematic for medium-sized forces and commercial operators who cannot afford to dedicate aircraft solely for testing purposes.

NIFTI solves this problem by providing a non-intrusive means of instrumenting aircraft for flight tests. Using battery-powered wireless sensors, NIFTI allows for the collection of critical flight data without altering the aircraft’s original configuration.

This innovative approach enables the aviation industry to:

  1. Achieve more efficient and effective flight testing
  2. Quickly and affordably enact new technologies and modifications
  3. Enhance the flexibility of flight trials.

We are excited be at the forefront of advanced solutions for flight testing without intrusive modifications.
