This morning, MEMKO was invited to present to the City of Melbourne judging panel as part of our shortlisting for the 2025 Melbourne Awards.
Our nomination in the category of Knowledge and Innovation recognises our innovative development of certified 3D printed aircraft interior cabin replacement parts, designed and manufactured in Melbourne’s CBD.
MEMKO serves a number of leading airlines, giving us deep insight into their operational challenges. Our 3D printed components enabled us to apply our expertise in digital twin technology and aerospace engineering to address real-world manufacturing challenges in the aviation sector.
What sets this project apart is MEMKO’s full vertical integration – from problem identification to delivery in just weeks, not months. This rapid response capability is critical for airlines needing to return aircraft to service quickly, helping minimise downtime and revenue loss.
